I finally made the energy bars I had shopped ingredients for over a week ago. It was really easy to make, even though I had to go twice to the supermarket — I forgot bananas!🍌🙈
I created a new recipe (click here to read it) from another one, switching up the ingredients. I added more seeds varieties and replaced protein powder with cacao. If I find the original I will add a link to it as well. I considered adding some of the soy beans I had boiled the other day, but didn’t.
It smelled wonderful and I really craved at least one them…
But not without some exercise first!
Here is what I did:
Since winter is coming in Sweden I helped my father carry tables from the front of the house to the garden shed, and then studded car tires for their car from the shed to the garage. Each distance was around 30 meters (33 yards).
I chose to do some calisthenics, one of my favorite exercise form. By splitting the repetitions into three I created a fun training circuit
Here is a list of the total repetitions and the names of the exercises:
- 21 dips using two sawhorses from the shed
- 30 pushups
- 30 squats
- 30 seconds of L-sit, first on the sawhorse and then on the ground
So one lap of the circuit split evenly would be 7 dips followed by 10 pushups, 10 squats, 10 seconds of L-sit.
After two sets I sprinted 200 meters (219 yards) on the forest track next to the house
And finally the reward, munching on one of the bars:
Yummy! Since they were dry, adding beans might not be a bad idea! Something for next time.
I also had an espresso with whipped soy milk, even though I usually avoid coffee. Caffeine tends to prevent me from sleeping properly.. But at 3 p.m. I calculate that the effect will wear off before bed-time.
I started uploading photos and writing this when my mother came home. I helped her carry the groceries from the garage to the kitchen. Happy fruits, heavy stuff! She had forgotten to bring a bag of clothes she didn’t want anymore (some too large) to the charity. I tried a pair of jeans, and they fit me perfectly
With unisex design, a slight stretch and a bit warmer than the typical ones I really love them. They will be perfect for more fun exercises this winter, both indoors and outdoors!••
I tried a black pair as well, and that fit too! The tighter model immediately inspired me to spontaneous dancing!
Now I got a perfect in-between the pajamas pants and the warm lined windbreakers I have been alternating between the last month. I had a pair of yoga pants, but they tended to slide down. They were more compatible with my mothers body shape, so now she is using them (for tennis, if I remember correctly.
What a day!
